The lodge is located 500 metres from the junction of the GR67a “Tour en pays cévenol” and the GR70 “Stevenson Trail”, 4 km before the village of Saint-Étienne-Vallée-Française.

Route from the GR70 (coming from Saint-Germain-de-Calberte)
Where the GR70 meets the D984 road in the valley floor (5 km after Saint-Germain-de-Calberte), turn left off the GR70 waymarking and follow the wooden “Pont de Burgen” signs, then follow the GR67a waymarking. After the Pont de Burgen bridge, it's the (only) house up on the right.
The next day, you'll reach the village of Saint-Étienne-Vallée-Française for supplies in under an hour's walk (4 km), and you'll reach Saint-Jean-du-Gard after 17 km, having crossed the Col Saint-Pierre.
Route from the GR70 (coming from Saint-Étienne-Vallée-Française)
Leaving the village of Saint-Étienne-Vallée-Française, follow the GR70 until you cross the Négase bridge. Leave the first dirt track that goes down to the right towards Le Cambonnet, then just after take the small road to the right towards Pont de Burgen / Les Passadoires (you then leave the GR70 waymarking). Continue until you cross the Pont de Burgen bridge, then go up to the right to the last house at the top of the hamlet.
The previous stage: Cassagnas
We are 23 km from Cassagnas, the stage that historically precedes us on the GR70. Accommodation there can sometimes be hard to find, especially on Saturdays; many hikers therefore choose the Barre-des-Cévennes variant instead (a roughly equivalent stage starting from Florac, also waymarked GR43, rejoining the GR70 the next day near Saint-Germain-de-Calberte).
